Sand Tart Or Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3/4 lb. butter
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar, butter and eggs.
    Add flour.
    Put in a cool place 8 to 10 hours.
    Roll out as thin as possible.
    Beat the yolks of 2 eggs and a teaspoon of water together thoroughly.
    Brush the top surface of the cookie dough with the egg yolk mixture either before or after cutting with cookie cutters.
    Sprinkle with crushed nuts, cinnamon, sugar, etc.
    Bake in a moderate oven until edges brown (about 10 minutes).
