Orange Pecan Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. fresh orange juice
1 c. pecans, chopped fine
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
3 Tbsp. grated orange rind
Preparation

Stir dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender. Add milk, orange juice and egg; mix only until dry ingredients are dampened.
Add rind and nuts.
Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Let sit 20 minutes before baking 1 hour in a 350\u00b0 oven.
Let stand 5 minutes before turning out on rack to cool.
Store overnight before cutting.
