Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 c. salad oil
1 c. crushed corn flakes
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. coconut
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and
beat
well.
Add salad oil and beat again.
Add corn flakes, oatmeal,
coconut and nuts.
Mix well.
Sift together flour, salt and soda.
Add
this to the mixture along with the vanilla.
Shape dough
into
balls
the
size of hickory nuts. Place them on an ungreased cookie sheet and press flat with a fork that has been dipped in melted butter and sugar.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
