Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 egg, beaten
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine raisins, water and soda and soak overnight.
    Cream oil and sugar.
    Add beaten egg.
    Add raisins and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Add flour and salt; mix well.
    With Pam, spray 5 clean vegetable cans. Fill cans halfway with mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Test with toothpick.
