Persimmon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. persimmon pulp
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in persimmon pulp
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 c. rolled oats
    1 c. white raisins
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift together the salt, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and cloves.
    Add rolled oats, raisins and nuts.
    Combine all ingredients and drop 1/2 teaspoon for each cookie on cookie sheet, ungreased.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on board before storing.
    Will make several dozen.
