Ingredients

1 c. (2 sticks) butter, cut into pieces
1 c. confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 250\u00b0.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off.
In food processor, combine flour, salt and sugar. Add butter pieces and mix until batter begins to form a ball. Press evenly into 8 or 9-inch round cake pan.
With a fork, prick shortbread all over, radiating evenly from center.
