Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
    1 c. warm water
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    3 pkg. dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    8 c. flour (then enough to make dough workable)
Preparation
    Knead; turn in greased bowl and let rise 1 hour.
    Punch down; let
    rise
    30
    minutes.
    Divide
    in fourths; shape into loaves and
    let
    rise.
    Bake 30 minutes at 425\u00b0.
    Butter tops just before removing from oven.
