Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 3/4 c. coconut
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Mix in egg, vanilla and salt.
Add flour, a little at a time.
Stir in coconut.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
Flatten with floured bottom of a glass.
Sprinkle with additional coconut, if desired. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until golden brown around edges. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
