Irish Soda Bread(Makes 1 Large Round Loaf) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 c. unbleached flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
1 c. raisins
1 egg
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. buttermilk (approximate)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Put all dry ingredients in a large bowl and stir well.
Add raisins and stir.
Then add egg and oil. Gradually add buttermilk until you have a firm, but not stiff, dough, like biscuit dough.
