Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add flour to which baking powder and salt has been added.
Add vanilla and nuts; mix well.
Pour into a greased 8 x 2-inch pan and bake for about 30 minutes.
Cut into squares while warm.
You can sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
