Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. margarine
1 egg, separated
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
nuts
Preparation

Cream sugar and margarine; add 1 egg yolk (unbeaten).
Add sifted flour with salt.
Pat thin on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush on unbeaten egg white.
Sprinkle chopped nuts over this and press in the dough.
Bake 25 minutes in a 325\u00b0 oven.
Cut into squares immediately after baking.
