Apricot Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. dried apricots
    2 1/2 c. flour
    5 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cook dried apricots in 1 cup water.
    Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, salt and buttermilk.
    Sift flour, soda and baking powder; add nuts.
    Mix with batter.
    Fold in apricots.
    Let stand 20 minutes.
    Bake in large loaf pan for 1 1/4 hours at 350\u00b0.
