Ingredients

2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. butter-flavored solid shortening
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 large pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Beat shortening together until fluffy.
Add both brown & white sugar. Beat until well blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Set aside.
In separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, instant pudding mix. Gradually add to wet mixture. Stirring well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 - 12 minutes. Cool on sheet for 1 minute, then remove to wire rack.
