2 1/4 c. unbleached or all-purpose flour
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 c. (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Generously grease bottom only of 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, peanut butter and butter or margarine.
Reserve 1 cup.
Add baking powder, soda, milk, vanilla and eggs to remaining crumb mixture.
Blend at low speed until moistened, beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
Pour batter into pan. Sprinkle with 1 cup reserved crumbs.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over crumbs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
