Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. mashed bananas
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar together.
    Beat eggs until light and add mashed bananas thoroughly.
    Add lemon juice.
    Blend with creamed mixture.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and mix quickly into banana mixture.
    Add nuts.
    Split batter into 2 bread pans and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
