Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. ground fennel seed
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Combine butter, fennel seed and salt.
Add sugar, then egg. Sift together flour and baking powder and add to sugar mixture. Chill the dough at least 2 hours.
