Fresh Apple-Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 large apple, pared, cored and grated (about 1 c.)
1/2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
