Swedish Raisin Bread - cooking recipe

1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
3 eggs
3/4 c. raisins
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. milk
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter until creamy and smooth; add eggs and beat well.
Mix and sift dry ingredients.
Add lemon extract, vanilla and milk, along with dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Stir in raisins.
Pour into one large loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch) or two small loaf pans that have been greased and floured.
Bake for one hour at 350\u00b0 or until brown.
Slice very thin when cool.
This is a moist heavy bread with a hint of lemon.
It freezes well.
