Ingredients

2 1/3 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and beat.
Sift dry ingredients; add to nuts and dates.
Mix and bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes (one 9 x 12-inch pan and one 9 x 9-inch pan).
Place pans on wet towel to cool.
Cut into small squares.
Roll into balls with greased hands; roll in powdered sugar.
