Cranberry-Orange Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. coarsely chopped cranberries
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. orange juice
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
Preparation

Mix flour with sugar, baking powder, salt and soda.
Add cranberries and nuts.
Combine egg, milk and orange juice.
Add to flour mixture with melted shortening; mix until all flour is dampened.
Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 10 minutes, then remove from pan and finish cooling on rack.
