Perfect Pie Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 3/4 c. solid vegetable shortening
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 whole egg
    1/2 c. cold water
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, salt and shortening until crumbly.
    Mix in cup, the water, egg and vinegar.
    Combine the two mixtures and mix until all the ingredients are moistened.
    Divide into 5 portions. Wrap each in plastic wrap and chill at least 1/2 hour before rolling out.
    Dough keeps 3 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen.
    Bake pie shells at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Makes 5 pie shells.
