Vermont Maple Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. maple syrup
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
    1 egg
    1/2 c. chocolate chips
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Add butter or margarine and maple syrup to the egg.
    Beat until smooth.
    Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Add to mixture.
    Drop by teaspoon onto greased pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
