Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Stir in eggs and vanilla. Sift flour with baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture.
On a lightly floured board, roll the dough out thin, about 1/8-inch and cut into fancy shapes.
Bake on lightly buttered cookie sheets at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes until cookies are a light golden brown.
