Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. bran
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream the butter with the brown sugar.
Add 1 egg; beat well, then stir in the bran.
Sift the flour and baking powder together; work into the creamed mixture.
Knead and shape into long rolls, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in waxed paper; store in refrigerator until firm.
Slice thinly and bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for about 10 minutes.
