Grandma Winnie'S Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening (lard)
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sweet milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream sugar and lard.
Add eggs to this.
Beat very well. Sift baking powder and flour together.
Put soda in milk. Alternate adding dry ingredients and liquid to creamed sugar and lard.
Sprinkle tops with sugar.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes.
