1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. all sifted flour
2 Tbsp. soda
1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Add beaten eggs and beat thoroughly.
Stir in peanut butter.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Stir into cream mixture.
Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet.
Press with fork (dipped in flour) to make a crisscross design.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
Yields about 10 dozen.
