Gumdrop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. shortening (Crisco butter)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 c. (cut up small spicy) gumdrops
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Cream sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla.
Sift flour, salt and soda together.
Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in gumdrops and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
