Mary'S Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Mix sugar and butter.
    Add flavorings and mix thoroughly. Stir in dry ingredients together and blend.
    Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours (the longer, the better). Roll dough to 1/6-inch.
    Cut on lightly floured pastry cloth.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes until golden brown.
    Makes 2 to 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
