Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. molasses
    1 c. All-Bran cereal
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
Preparation
    Put All-Bran in milk to soak.
    In another bowl, cream sugar and shortening.
    Add molasses, egg, flour, soda, salt and milk. Add bran mixture.
    Add 1/2 cup of raisins and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Makes 1 loaf.
