Vanilla Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 c. softened margarine
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix powdered sugar and margarine in large bowl.
    Stir in egg and vanilla.
    Stir in flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
    Heat oven to 375 degrees.
    Roll half of dough at a time, 1/8 in. thick on surface dusted with powdered sugar.
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Placed onto ungreased or parchment lined cookie sheet.
    Bake 7-8 minutes or until light brown.
    Remove cookie sheet.
    Makes about 5 doz. 2 in cookies.
