Hobo Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. raisins or dates
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    pinch of salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over raisins and baking soda.
    Let cool. Mix well oil, sugar, egg, flour, salt and nuts.
    Grease and flour 2 (1 pound) coffee cans.
    Fill each half full.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
