Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    4 Tbsp. molasses
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. soda, mixed in 2 c. flour
    2 1/3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. double-acting baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt (scant)
    1/2 c. butter plus 1 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 tsp. orange extract
    1/4 tsp. lemon extract
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/3 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Grease baking sheets lightly.
    Start oven 10 minutes before baking at 375\u00b0.
    Sift flour; measure and re-sift 4 times with next 3 ingredients.
    Cream butter and shortening until smooth; stir in flavorings.
    Then add sugar in 2 or 3 portions, creaming well. Beat in egg until fluffy, then stir in flour mixture and the cream alternately in 2 or 3 portions, mixing just until smooth after each.
    Roll out on a floured pastry cloth about 3/16-inch thick. Cut out with a 2 1/2-inch cutter or decorated cutters.
    Place on prepared sheet and bake 13 to 15 minutes.
    Remove from pan to rack immediately.
