Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box raisins
    3 tsp. soda
    3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. nuts
    6 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 tins Christmas mixed fruit
Preparation
    Cover raisins and soda with 3 cups boiling water.
    Cover and let stand overnight.
    The next day, mix raisins with all other ingredients.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Reduce heat to 300\u00b0 for 1/2 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
    This makes 2 tube pan cakes.
