Cherry Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup buttermilk or sour cream
1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice
1/2 cup cherries (cut)
1/2 cup nuts (chopped)
Preparation

Mix and sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquid to creamed mixture; add cherries and nuts. Bake in bread pan at 350 for one hour.
