Ingredients

3/4 c. seedless raisins
3/4 c. prunes
1/2 c. candied cherries
1/2 c. walnuts
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. coffee
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. anise seed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. anise extract
1/4 nutmeg
3 1/4 c. regular all-purpose flour
Preparation

Grind fruits and nuts together.
Combine sugar, butter, coffee and molasses in a 3-quart saucepan.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Cool. Blend in flour and fruit mixture.
Chill at least 4 hours (overnight is fine).
Shape into 1-inch balls with well floured hands.
Place on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes.
Dip warm cookies in warm glaze.
