Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
    1 1/2 c. chopped peanuts or pecans
    1 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. powdered sugar, sifted
    1 (12 oz.) jar crunchy peanut butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
    3 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Combine first 7 ingredients, stirring well.
    Shape mixture into 1-inch balls.
    Combine chocolate morsels and shortening in top of a double boiler (with water boiling).
    Reduce heat to low, cook until the morsels melt.
    Dip each peanut butter ball into the chocolate mixture.
    Place on wax paper to cool.
    Makes about 9 dozen balls.
