Stone Jar Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. soda
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Heat molasses to boiling.
    Stir in shortening.
    Sift together soda, flour, baking powder, salt and ginger and add to mixture. Chill dough.
    Roll out very thin.
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake until set at 350\u00b0 for 5 to 7 minutes.
