Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (2 c.)
    1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Combine flour, soda and salt.
    In mixer bowl, beat butter and shortening about 30 seconds.
    Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
    Add dry ingredients, beating until well blended; stir in chocolate pieces and nuts.
    Drop from a teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 8 to 10 minutes or until browned around edges.
    Remove from oven; let stand on cookie sheet for
    2 minutes.
    Do not stack until completely cool.
