Pineapple Cookies(Makes 5 Dozen) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    9 oz. can crushed pineapple with juice (1 c.)
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly the first 3 ingredients.
    Stir in pineapple. Sift together flour, soda, salt and nutmeg and stir in.
    Mix in nuts.
    Chill at least one hour.
    Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake until, when touched lightly with finger, no imprint remains at 400\u00b0 (moderately hot oven) for 8 to 10 minutes.
