Ingredients

1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter well.
Blend in oil, eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt together and mix thoroughly.
Make into small balls; flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 minutes at 350\u00b0. Makes about 11 dozen small or 7 to 8 dozen medium size cookies.
