Ingredients

1 c. butter (can use half oleo, if desired)
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 3/4 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.
Add remaining ingredients.
Put in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Makes 6 dozen.
