Dilly Bread(This Recipe Has Been Handed Down From Bruce'S Family.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 c. cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. dill seed
    1 Tbsp. onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Soften yeast in water.
    Combine the next 8 ingredients with the yeast.
    Add flour (a cup at a time) and mix to form a stiff dough, beating after each addition.
    Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size (50 to 60 minutes).
    Stir down dough.
    Turn into well-greased loaf pan.
    Let rise in warm place 30 to 40 minutes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
    Brush with butter; sprinkle with salt.
