Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. caraway seed
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. raisins or currants
1 1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Add seed and raisins or currants.
Add milk and stir until dough forms a ball.
Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth.
Shape into a 6-inch round loaf.
Put in greased layer cake pan or on a greased cookie sheet.
Cut an X in top.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Brush top with melted margarine after baking.
