Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. white chocolate flavored baking bars, cut into chunks
1 (7 oz.) jar Macadamia nuts, chopped coarsely
Preparation

Beat butter and shortening at medium speed with an electric mixer until soft and creamy. Gradually add sugars, beating well. Add egg and vanilla.
Beat well. Combine flour, soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating well.
Stir in white chocolate and nuts.
Drop dough by spoonfuls (rounded teaspoons) 2-inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly on cookie sheets. Remove to wire racks and let cool completely. Yields 5 dozen.
