Ingredients

1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. margarine
1 egg, beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Grease cookie sheets.
Beat thoroughly persimmon pulp, baking soda, sugar, shortening and margarine.
Add egg and beat well.
Sift dry ingredients and add.
Stir in nuts and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on prepared pans.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
