Thimble Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. flour (approximately)
    1 egg yolk
    1 egg white
    finely chopped nutmeats
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients and blend well.
    Roll into balls the size of a small walnut.
    Roll each ball in unbeaten egg white and then in finely chopped nutmeats.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 5 minutes. Remove cookie sheet from oven and make small depression in center of each cookie (use thimble).
    Fill hole with jelly.
    Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes or until brown.
