Irish Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. flour
5 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. caraway seed
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. Crisco
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
16 oz. pkg. raisins
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients together in mixing bowl.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons Crisco and add mixture to dry ingredients.
Add eggs and milk.
Mix by hand and add raisins.
Put into large (12-inch) round baking pan.
Bake for a total of 1 1/2 hours.
First 1/2 hour bake at 325\u00b0, then lower to 300\u00b0 for remaining hour.
Makes 1 large loaf.
