"Ginger Snaps" Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    4 Tbsp. molasses
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Sift together flour, soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon.
    Mix together ingredients and chill for 2 hours or overnight.
    Shape into balls and dip the tops in sugar.
    Do not press down.
    Bake until tops crack but not dry.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
