Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. water
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted enriched flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and water.
Add well beaten eggs and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients and add to other mixture.
Roll and cut in desired shapes.
Bake in hot oven at 425\u00b0 for about 8 minutes.
Makes about 8 dozen 2-inch cookies.
