Ingredients

2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 (24 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, finely grated
3 c. chopped nuts (any kind; optional)
Preparation

Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix together flour and oatmeal (put a small amount in blender after measuring and blend until it turns to powder; return to bowl), salt, baking powder and baking soda.
Combine with butter mixture.
Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and nuts.
Mix well.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet.
Make golf-ball size cookies, placing them 2 inches apart.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 112 cookies.
